SAFARI VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT

4x4 Land Rovers Defenders
The Land Rover Defender is specifically built and designed for the conditions and terrain through which we conduct our safaris in rural Africa . Each vehicle has a comprehensive tool kit, including spare parts normally required. The vehicles are permanent 4x4 vehicles; equipped with roof carriers, spotlights, bash bars and two spare wheels.

All vehicles are comprehensively serviced and maintained by professional Land Rover workshops prior to every safari conducted. Land rovers have a very low ratio 4WD gear, a centre diff lock system, excellent suspension travel and overall offroad suspension for offroad desert travel.

All Outback Africa safaris are conducted in 4x4 Land Rover Defenders.
They are the ultimate safari vehicles.

4x4 Land Rover Trailers
The trailers are specially designed and built for the company. Anything less would simply self-destruct. They are genuine 4x4 all terrain trailers, equipped with 80lt fuel jerry cans as well as 80lt drinking water containers.

Two spare wheels are supplied and 4.5kg gas bottles utilized for cooking. Luggage and equipment is transported in airtight and watertight canvas on the off-road trailer carriers.

Canvass Adventure Bow Tents
Accommodation is on a twin basis in Adventure Bow Tents. The tents offer protection from the African elements, have mosquito netting on the doors and windows and a Velcro door closing system.

Zips are unreliable in sandy conditions. The tents are constructed utilizing heavy-duty rip stop canvass. We supply monsoon flysheets in rain season. Please note: No tent is 100% waterproof.

Campsite

Insulation Mats
We supply Insulation Mats on which to sleep. These mats will cover the base of the tent and keep your bedding off the ground. All that is required of the clients is to bring their own sleeping bags or bedding. If extra comfort is required, a self-inflating mattress is recommended.

Director's Chairs
Director's chairs with backrests are supplied, enabling you to sit back, relax and enjoy.

Ice Boxes
Eskimo cooler boxes
with ice, when available, will keep all your beverages at a moderate temperature.

Kitchen / Catering Equipment
A comprehensive kitchen, developed over years of experience, is supplied. Melamine crockery, all eating utensils, cups, pots, bowls, pans, kettles and a barbeque grid.
The guides, assisted by the clients, normally prepare the wholesome African meals. A variety of dishes will be prepared: pastas, barbeques, roasts, curries, stews, stir-fries, fish and traditional African cuisine.
