OUTBACK AFRICA SAFARI BOOKING POLICIES
Booking Conditions:
If an Outback Africa Safari appeals to you, and you would
like to make a reservation, it is advisable to contact Outback
Africa Safaris and enquire if there is a position available for
you on the particular safari that you wish to go on. A booking
form must then be completed and sent or faxed to the address of
the Outback Africa Booking office in Cape Town. A non-refundable
deposit of 10% will be required to confirm your reservation. The
total amount for the safari is payable 28 days prior to the departure
date of the safari. If this amount is not paid in due time, Outback
Africa may, at its own discretion, be entitled to regard the booking
as cancelled.
Acceptance Of Safari Booking Contract:
A contract between Outback Africa and the client will
only be concluded once the client has received receipt of payment
from Outback Africa, and Outback Africa is in possession of a
signed booking form.
Change Of Safari Booking:
If, after booking a safari with Outback Africa, you wish
to change your safari dates to a later or earlier period, it is
advisable to contact Outback Africa to enquire as to if we can
accommodate your wishes. If we are unable to meet your request,
you will either have to get a replacement or cancel your booking
with Outback Africa.
Safari Cancellation Procedure:
A cancellation letter must be sent to Outback Africa
if you wish to terminate your booking. If a booking is cancelled
more than 28 days prior to departure, only the full deposit will
be retained by Outback Africa. If a booking is cancelled 22-28
days prior to departure, 40% of the total safari fare will be
payable by the client. If a booking is cancelled 15-21 days prior
to departure, 60% of the total safari fare will be payable by
the client. If a booking is cancelled 14 days prior to departure,
the client will be expected to meet the total payment of the safari.
If you fail to join a safari, or join after departure, or leave
prior to its completion, no reimbursement whatsoever will be made
by Outback Africa.
Outback Africa Safari Cancellation:
Should a safari be cancelled by Outback Africa , we will
either refund full payment or offer an alternative safari. If
Outback Africa has to curtail a safari after departure for any
pertinent reason, i.e. wars, strikes, weather conditions and acts
of God, then Outback Africa will not be held liable for any form
of refund whatsoever. Outback Africa shall, at its own discretion,
cancel any client's booking whom they deem unsuitable after departure
of the said safari. The objective of a small group safari is to
enjoy the experience of group participation in most activities
offered. Clients with strong individualistic attitudes will find
this type of safari difficult and not suitable for their vacation
requirements.
Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance for any Outback Africa Safari is compulsory.
It is the client's responsibility to arrange comprehensive personal
and medical insurance in their country of origin. In the unlikely
event of rescue and medical assistance being required whilst on
an Outback Africa safari, the client shall be liable for the complete
cost thereof.
Your guide will be a qualified in first aid and is more than
competent to assist you through your minor third-world safari
mishaps, i.e. cuts and bruises. Assistance to obtain travel insurance
is available on request.
General:
All meals, i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner, as stipulated
in the brochure, are provided. Tea and coffee are supplied, but
please note that all other beverages are for your own expense.
All visa requirements are for the client's own expense. The Company
will meet all transfers, hire costs and entry fees whilst on an
Outback Africa Safari. All excursions not undertaken by Outback
Africa as a company outing, will be for own expense, i.e. flights,
rafting, bungi-jumping, visits to Victor ia Falls and Table Mountain
cable car. As our safaris are planned far in advance, our prices
are subject to surcharge without notice. Please note that our
itineraries are subject to change, depending on local conditions.
Our itineraries can therefore not be guaranteed, but Outback Africa
will endeavour to substitute any changes with destinations of
equivalent value.
Indemnity:
Outback Africa shall not be held liable for any injury,
damage or loss, including consequential loss to any client or
their possessions howsoever caused. This includes personal injury,
disease or death caused by or contributed to by negligence by
Outback Africa, its employers or agents. If any additional expenses
are incurred through delays, accidents or disruption of the planned
itinerary beyond the control of Outback Africa, i.e. wars, strikes,
weather conditions and acts of God, then such expenses are to
be borne by the client.
