About Us

Posted September 09 Cape Kalahari Okavango Feedback on the "Chicken is a Vegetable Tour" - Cape Town to Vic Falls We had a fabulous trip, well led (well - perhaps we'll discuss the scorpions later!), well resourced and organised exactly how we would have wished if we had designed it ourselves. The trip was, for me, more than I could have hoped for and the way we had some say in each day, each activity, food and participation was well judged. We couldn't have "done" this journey on our own as we don't know the turf well enough but the trip you designed and the way it was facilitated, structured and equipped got as near to us doing ourselves as it was possible to be. Award yourselves five stars or a bottle of cold beer or whatever tickles your fancy - We had a ball! Couple of reflective comments: Perhaps if you are doing that route again you could consider not using Tsolido Hills as we considered it wasn't worth the night there compared to the possibility of an extra night on the delta. It may be our age but an option to be dropped at the end of the trip at one of the tourist hotels at Vic Falls might also be considered as this would have helped both the transition back home for us and also given the driver a chance to pack up and get back on the road. Ruan deserves some feedback too. He is an impressive person with considerable knowledge and skills, especially people skills, He managed a disparate group of people, with diverse needs, with tact and consideration and didn't once call me "Auntie"! We can only commend him for job well done and reassure him that we will find a suitable revenge for the scorpions and he still owes us 4 1/2 hrs. However, if he needs a reference he has our email address and only has to ask. We will keep an eye on your website and most certainly travel with you again.
